Full payment for a commission must be made upfront before any work on it is started. Currently, I only accept commissions through Ko-fi or Paypal. Payment plans are available, but keep in mind that your commission will only be started once the final (full) payment is made.
Refunds of any kind are only available if I can't finish your commission. If this is the case, you will be notified as soon as possible and refunded the amount paid in full. At the latest, you will be given the option of a refund at the approximate deadline of your commission (see additional information below), but only if I haven't started work on your commission. You cannot get a refund on a commission that I've already begun work on or completed. Refunds are also not given because you don't like the completed artwork, but you will be given the option to give revisions to your commission and I will happily adjust things to your liking.
I retain sole ownership of the completed artwork. I may display any artwork I have created on my social media and in my portfolio and galleries and use the art for promotional purposes. The only exception to this would be in cases where the commissioned artwork has been purchased and licensed from me.
You may repost art that you have commissioned so long as you follow at least one of these two guidelines: 1.) Your post names me as the artist (Chisai236), and/or 2.) Your post includes a link back to my Ko-fi page. This includes using art you commission for decorative or personal use (this means as an avatar, in a video, a wallpaper on your page, etc.) on your social media pages and posts using the artwork.
Commissioned art cannot be altered without my permission.
Commissioned art cannot be put to any kind of monetary use without my permission. If you would like to talk about licensing the artwork for some type of monetary use, you may contact me directly to sort out the terms and payment for this (there will be a fee for licensing the artwork. By licensing my artwork you'll also receive the original art file, individual layers, and an unwatermarked version of the artwork).
Watermarks cannot be removed. The placement of the watermark can be adjusted though if you have a preference for that. The only exception to this rule is for Emote/ Emoji commissions, and instances where commissioned artwork has been purchased and licensed from me.
If you have any questions, or if you'd like to check on the progress of your commission at any time, you can email or message me at any time.
The average wait time, once you order an illustration commission, is about *2 weeks but this depends on my current workload and health. Please bear in mind that I am a chronically ill person, and sometimes delays can be caused simply by my health taking a dip for days at a time. I will message you about any possible delays with you as they happen and/or as the deadlines approach to update you on how long the additional wait will approximately be. If your commission hasn't been started by the end of the approximate wait time, then you will be given the option to receive a full refund.
*Other commission types, like the crochet plushes, have a longer base wait time of about 1 month.
🌟 KO-FI MEMBERS: If you have a membership on my Ko-fi, you get a discount on every commission! Discounts should automatically apply when you're logged into your Ko-fi account and place an order for a commission. The percentage is based on your tier of support. If you are commissioning me outside of Ko-fi's order form, please remind me of your tier of support when talking over commission details, and I will manually apply the discount when sending you an invoice for payment. Thank you!
❌ Won't Draw: Excessive Gore (blood and minor bodily damage is okay), Mecha or overly complex mechanical designs, large detailed cityscapes (impressionistic cityscapes are fine).
✅ Will Draw: Characters of any gender identity, sexuality, or race are welcome! Furry characters are also welcome! *Erotic/adult artwork (please email me first to ask about the content you want to commission)
*You're welcome to ask about anything, I won't judge you, but I may decline to take your commission based on my comfort level with the content you suggest, thank you for understanding!

You will be sent a sketch of your commission. If you ordered a Sketch, this is the last step to your commission. If you have any last changes you want made, then you will have a chance to let me know and I will fix them for you. If you have a more detailed commission, then after you are happy with how the sketch looks I will continue to add further details.
You will be sent the lines and flat colors of your commission. If you ordered a Basic Illustration, Emote/ Emoji, or Character Reference Sheet, then this is the last step for your commission. If you have any last changes you want made then you will have a chance to let me know and I will fix them for you. If you have a more detailed commission, this will be another point for you to give feedback before I continue to add further details.
You will be sent the commission with added lighting, shading, and rendering. If you ordered a Standard Illustration then this is the last step for your commission. If you have any last changes you want made then you will have a chance to let me know and I will fix them for you.
Once all the steps that apply to your commission type are finished, then your art commission is all done!
You will be sent a drawn-up plan of your plush. You will have an opportunity to give feedback on the plan and let me know if it looks good to you or what changes you'd like to make.
You will be sent periodic updates on the progress as it happens. Since the plushes are custom, this step varies based on the detail and size of your commission, but you will be sent updates periodically as it's being worked on.
Once the plush is finished it will be mailed to you. You'll have a chance to let me know about any small changes you'd like to have made. Then the plush will be mailed to you via the USPS, a tracking number will be provided to you for the shipment.
